This past Saturday I spent the afternoon with some girlfriends at Stone Tower Winery for my bridal shower. It’s such a beautiful winery set atop Hogback Mountain on 306 acres in Loudoun County, Virginia.

We skipped the wine tastings and ordered several bottles of our favorites red, white, and rosé. The rosé was my absolute favorite! We had shrimp cocktail, cheese and crackers, grapes, and pasta salad; all of which went perfectly with our wines!

The staff was friendly and helpful, they checked on us frequently to make sure we didn’t need more bottles. Although this was my first time at Stone Tower and I didn’t even think to take some time to walk around the vineyard and take in the sights, but it was still so beautiful where we were seated which was at the top overlooking the vineyards.

I do have to say that my best friend and her mom did a phenomenal job at not only organizing such a special day for me at one of my favorite places (a winery!). I mean I could not have asked for a better day, weather, food and wine, everything. But my FAVORITE part was getting to hold my little nephew, Luke, he is just the cutest-most adorable-good baby ever! He did not cry one bit and seemed to enjoy spending time with the ladies, lol! It was perfect!

To be honest it was hard to say goodbye to my friends. I wanted to keep going, I wanted to stay there for as long as possible. I plan on going back to Stone Tower with a picnic and I will try to spend more time walking around.

Next up: I Do!

What is your favorite winery?
