Sensitive is nothing to take lightly, I should know I have combination skin type meaning that I have more than one of the five skin types—normal, dry, oily, combination, and sensitive—depending on where on the areas of my body I am trying to treat.

I have oily skin and sensitive skin on my face, extremely dry scalp (especially in the winter months), and combination skin…all of which means that I have to be extra sensitive to beauty and makeup products and tools that I use on my face. For instance, I cannot have any coffee products because it breaks out my skin; I often opt for fragrance-free beauty and makeup products because I don’t want to exacerbate my skin, so no coffee for this mama!

When I use a product on the most sensitive part of my skin, my face, I am hyper sensitive to educating myself on its ingredients, but I don’t stop there, I look at the reputation of the company that made the product. And it doesn’t matter how much I love the company, if the product is not right for my skin, I won’t use it; and equally as important to me, I won’t share with you.

I did not use the June Jacobs spa collection mandarin moisture masque because of the fragrance; however, I did use and love the sensitive formula mandarin polishing beads scrub. The scrub is specifically formulated for sensitive skin and contains water as its first ingredient followed by hydrogenated jojoba oil, including green and white tea, vitamin E, soybean and mandarin fruit extracts among other high quality ingredients.
